Translation Override Rule
FCCS (Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service) is an Oracle EPM tool that gives you and your team a clear view of the whole process, from the close and consolidation to data collection and reporting, all in one place.
In this tutorial, we walk step by step through creating and applying a translation override rule during the consolidation process in FCCS.
A translation override rule lets you pick a specific intersection and apply an input rate that overrides the default rate FCCS would otherwise use.
Step 1
Under the Consolidation tab, open the Translation Override Rules page.

Step 2
Create a local rate account to hold the override rate.
- Add a new local rate account, filling in its Name, Description, and Alias, and choose Local Rate in the window that appears.
- Refresh the database so the new account is available.

Step 3

- Create a translation rule for the accounts you are targeting.
- Give the rule a name and set its rate information.
- Define the intersection where the override applies by selecting the dimension members.
Step 4
Deploy the translation rule.
- From the Navigator, open Data and select the Enter Exchange Rates form.
- Enter the POV and the override rate, then Save the form.
- Launch the Consolidation business rule under the Rules tab so the override takes effect.
