Implementing Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM Planning (formerly PBCS): Our Approach

Oracle's Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS) is now delivered through Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM Planning, the unified successor to what used to be sold separately as PBCS and EPBCS. The name has changed, and so has how we scope and price a Planning project: here's how CloudADDIE approaches an implementation today.

Our consultants support your team through the entire project, from scoping and requirements through configuration, training, and go-live support. For a detailed, week-by-week walkthrough of what that looks like on the ground, see "A Week-by-Week Look at an Oracle Fusion Cloud EPM Planning Implementation".

How We Scope a Planning Implementation

Every environment is different enough that we don't quote a fixed price or timeline before we've actually looked at it. Instead, we start with a paid scoping assessment: a structured 2 to 3 week engagement that audits your current environment, maps your requirements, and produces a fixed-fee project proposal with defined scope, timeline, and investment. If you move forward with CloudADDIE, that assessment fee is credited toward the project.

From there, every project is quoted as one of three fixed-fee tiers (Starter, Professional, or Enterprise), determined by criteria like legal entity count, number of integrations, planning forms, and historical data migration needs, not negotiated after the fact. See our Product-Specific Scoping page for current investment ranges and tier criteria, and our Staff Rates page for how the team behind a fixed-fee quote is put together.

Our Delivery Process

Once scope is set, delivery follows the same six phases across every implementation:

  1. Discovery: understand the current process, pain points, systems, and goals.
  2. Assessment: review architecture, data flows, reports, gaps, and risks.
  3. Design: define the future-state process, model, integrations, and reporting approach.
  4. Build: configure, develop, test, validate, and refine the solution.
  5. Transfer: document the solution and train users and administrators.
  6. Support: provide go-live, stabilization, and ongoing support as needed.
